Average wait time for BM-42

I've been waiting for my BM-42 for 9, count 'em, 9 weeks, and still nothing. Is this amount of time typical for this time of the year, or is something going on with my gun dealer that I don't know about?

Here's the situation:

Ordered it through my local gun dealer. He also pointed out to me that if I'd come in a week earlier looking for one, I would have had one. :eek: He told me that he'd let me know if he heard anything about it. I've checked back with him every Monday since then, and STILL NO 42!! :(

Is this typical of anyone wanting a BM-42 right now, or am I getting the run around?
 
you might want to try to order one from 1stopknifeshop.com or knifezilla.com. my buddy got one and I cut myself the first time I used it. :D verry sharp. good luck, tiger
 
If you didn't leave a deposit, look elsewhere. 9 weeks is way too long.
 
Im still waiting for my bm42A but i ordered it like on friday the 13th so im waiting. If i was you I dont know how I could wait 9weeks. I cant even wait 1 hour.:D I bought the 2 day shiping so im waiting for the company to send a notice to my bro saying "ur order has been shiped" till then im working the s@!t out of my jag cause im waiting for my bm42A.
 
I think I've developed the patience of a Zen master having waited this long. It seems the average wait time is something like a week or two, so my gun range must be very loooooooowwww on Benchmade's distributer list...

I'll check the sites again and place my order by the end of the week. Call me a sucker, but I'm giving my local dealer one last chance. :D
 
Master !!!!:D Good things come to people that wait but i cant wait oh well ill have to wait for my 42A.:mad: oh well
 
Well, I'll put this in the form of a question, then...

How long did it take, from the time you ordered to the time you recieved it, to get a BM-42?
 
Mine will take 6 days to come. I am sure that i will get it tomorrow because im tracking with ups tracking code. Im sure.:D It will come on the 18th , thats what my g/f told me to put on here.:D
 
Thats right, it only took one day for me to receive my 43 and 47A after placing my order. I paid $10 extra dollars for next day UPS.
 
Now, for the part where I stop, whack myself on the head, and say, "What an idiot I've been..."

Seems I only asked the guy at my gun dealer to watch out for a BM-42, I didn't actually order one...

God, I feel like a gold-plated jacka$$... :barf:

Well now that you found out you need to order it first what are you going to do now ? Are you going to order it from a site ?:confused: My bm42a is in my town but i cant get it until tomorrow because ups has already stoped shiping for the day. I would of got the next day air but my bro wouldnt let me get it. He said i was wasteing my money on the next day air because it was like $20.:mad: So i bought the 2 day air mail for about $15.:D Oh well it doesnt matter im going to get the wonderful bm42A tomorrow at 5pm sharp.:D

Okay, here's the plan...

Order and recieve a BM-42, have S. do a pic of me in a cool bali pose, THEN whack my head against the wall... :p

Oh, one more thing...

I think my wife just won a thousand bucks... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

If she really did win, I might just buy a 42, a 43, and a 47, just for $#|+$ and giggles...

That, and I've got 600 bucks coming to me and my wife courtesy of the Infernal Ripoff Service...
