3 Talwars purchased in the last month. A 5-1/2 gray, a 4" blue, and a 4" serrated black. All in CTS-XHP.

Recognizing the wonderful design now that I got one. Love the Thumb Plate, the Lock and the Steel.

Of course they are being discontinued.

Any recommendations for a Comparable CS design to try after the first of the year?
 
Oddly enough, I too have purchased 3 Talwars. I got the XL version in both plain edged and serrated(both in AUS-8), and I got the 4'' version with the blue scales and the XHP. I may try to grab a grey one as well, before they're all gone.
 
I've had a 4" Talwar for about 6 months and like it a lot.
I'm waiting on a XL that I ordered over the weekend.
It was a good price and since they are being discontinued I wanted to get one before they are gone.

The Talwar isn't the perfect edc but I've found I can do most anything I need with the large version.
I really wish CS would use the thumb plate on more models.
 
Some real good prices at the special projects site. Oddly there's a grey med espada which is a variant I never saw anywhere else.
 
Yeah Cold steel is liquidating their stock of the discontinued knives right now on their site,just bought a Mini recon 1 spear point for 60$.Seems like a good deal.Only worry about getting repair parts for discontinued items
