Trying to get all the steel orders caught up, finally got the forge working right again, and decided to grind while waiting on some stuff to cool, and wouldn't ya know it, I'm using a dull belt and pushing to hard.... woops, dangit!

Funny thing is, it still doesn't hurt, and it happened like 9 hours ago..... you might have nerve damage when:

Now that it's cleaned up, you can see that it's still showing the "white meat"

Man, I'm glad it doesn't hurt, I just wish I could believe it won't hurt while it's healing:rolleyes:

You best to rub some grinder grit in it 'fore it scabs over. Good one like that deserves a good scar for show-and-tell..... :D

BTW, compared to the ends of your fingers, the sides have far fewer nerve endings. That's why it doesn't hurt near as bad as a ground off fingertip.

 I thought your suppose to do that.....you know, to get the bevel sweet, dont quit when you feel the heat, just grind till you hit the meat.:cool

Sorry , I couldnt resist :barf:

still doesn't hurt, but it still hasn't scabbed over yet either, I'm pretty sure that my body has retired from trying to heal itself now, especially considering all the crap I've done to it over the last 15 years or so.

My wife still hasn't seen it yet, and I know I'll catch heck when she does... she saw the bandsids after it happened, and I told her it was "a cut"

C@@L :D put some rubbing alcohol on it, that'll perk her up some:D
it's in a great place too, when it scabs up some it will crack open a lot and hurt real good then. :D great picture :D
