Large Sebenza Insingo....Hmm. What to expect? Share away. Long, medium or short stories. Pics! Is getting another one still the same for you, amongst the now multiples in your collection?:rolleyes:

Yep, I remember when I took my first CRK(Large Regular Sebenza) out of the box, over seven years ago. For over five years, probably closer to 6, I carried the Sebbie everyday until I decided to retire her. However, I just sent her back in to CRK for a spa treatment, new lanyard, and double silver lugs to replace the discolored, old single blue lug. I also think that I'll go ahead and have them fit a new blade on her too. :D

I do believe it is safe to say that, once I get that Sebbie back, she will definitely be riding in my pocket again. :cool:

I was disappointed with my first sebbie, was a small, and too small for my taste personally. Everything else was lovely about it.

My first CRK was a Mtnr. I and I bought it from a shop so there was no waiting time. :D:thumbup:

I still get excited , but the 1st and not knowing exactly what to expect is different. My 1st was an order of a small classic MM black wood. I couldn't wait for it to be finished ,so I bought a Large Classic MM micarta.Don't really know which would be called the 1st. I usually think of the Black wood being it.

I was disappointed by my first, to be honest. It was a small Wilson Combat Star-benza... My first thought was, this is it? I think I got the knife too prematurely in my knife obsession phase, and perhaps entranced by the throngs of devoted CRK worshipers on these and other forums...

My second (several months later) was much better, it was a well used Large Classic with Micarta Inlays. Not only did the size suit me better, I could recognize the finer points of the knife, the buttery smoothness, the apparent perfection of every aspect, the wonderful simplicity, and the efficiency of the tool. What a knife! Now I've had the pleasure to own dozens of them. Congrats on your first CRK, you'll love it and I'm sure many more will come!

A few years back I got my first small sebenza 21- now well worn from edc. Was very eager to get my hands on it...getting another one always finds me in the same state of eager anticipation.

When I get tired of all the mediocrity in the execution of knife designs...I look for a new CRK to restore my faith.

My first was a small unique graphic.
The one I have incoming is a small unique graphic, the thrill never wanes.

First was a lrg insignio with micarta inlay. Got it at blade show last year during the preview hour. Folks at CRK said it was the first "production" model sold. Great knife in every respect!

Like so many things in life, you never forget your first one........

Here was my first.....CRK that is. A double-lug Lg Classic with Ironwood. The hook was set.

Im fairly new to CRK so recalling my first isn't taking a huge toll on the memory.

Large Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlay. I had done some homework on the Sebenza prior to pulling the trigger so I had (I thought anyway) a rough idea as to what to expect. Wrong. As soon as I unwrapped the blue cloth I fell in love. Corny but screw it, I'm amongst knife nuts here.

I liked it so much I bought another(traded actually). And a week after that guess what, bought another..

Choosing the next one, deciding to purchase, the anticipation of its arrival, the unboxing, and finally putting it to use feels great everytime!

Well said! I can't wait. I'm being realistic though. Not trying to hype it too much in my head.

My first was a Sebenza I ordered in 1993 from Chris direct - which I still have. Born on date is July 21, 1993.

I remember opening the box and being totally amazed. For me it set the standard by which all my future knives were compared against. I still buy Sebenza's and still get that thrill every time I open the box. (and yes I'm an old guy :) )

My first was an anniversary gift from my then-fiance (now wife), it was a plain Large 21. I was surprised to say the least and still enjoy using it.

I ordered and received a Large Micarta Insingo and the wait was killer, but finally getting it was awesome. I've bought and sold a few other CRKs but it's still a joy to get and use them.

Here's a photo of my very first. It's been sold because of my apparent recycle syndrome that goes like this:

If they make it, I will buy it;
If I buy it, I will sell it;
If I sell it, I will regret it;
If I regret it, I will buy again.

Hilarious. Did you regret it/buy it again? You continue to amaze me. Your homework should be a graph based on those four points. Which one is the highest?

I got my large 21 a couple years back. It is actually in my pocket as I type this. Only CR i have actually. Have never had a need for a second as I love my first so much :). One day I may try a small or a mnandi

Yeah, i have a feeling that will be me. Also, being able to afford another will take some time. I returned an Alias II about 2 months ago(horrible sticky lock) and thought $187 for a knife was crazy expensive!
