Awesome 1910 Jobber Keen Kutter/Simmons Hardware Catalogue Find!!!

Hey all!

So I was cruising the local antique mall and came across this amazing 1910 jobber/supplier catalogue from the manufacturer to the store! It is 4000+ pages offering an incredible glimpse into the items and store costs of all the hardware from Simmons Hardware over 100 years ago. The cutlery section is awesome!! Here are a few pics of the Keen Kutter knives.

If anyone is interested, or if you have any questions that maybe this book can help answer, let me know and I will try my best! There are over 70 pages of just pocket knife stuff.

It must weigh a ton ! :D I sure would get a kick looking through it. Great find and thanks for the look :) Could you imagine having to carry that thing around from store to store on your horse:eek:
 
What a find! Obviously, I would look through the knife section first, but it would be quite interesting to look at all of the other sections to get a feeling for what was available through their hardware firm. Kind of like looking at all of the items recovered from the Arabia. I have looked through a Sears Roebuck catalog from that time period, and you could order anything, up to prefab houses.

It is definitely an interesting piece! I am an avid hand tool neanderthal woodworker and the handtool section is awesome as well! But everytjing really is quite mind blowing! From pistols and rifles to blacksmithing tools to house plans to horse and tack to baseball gloves to fishing tackle to lamps to buckets etc etc etc... There are over 4000 pages of awesome!!!

I do have a question. --> Do you have a scanner?!

Scan the whole pocket knife section! Your imgur account can hold large files so no need for to use small images. Very cool find! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I do at work and will do so when I have some extra time for sure! Having a tire store and being winter tire season here, it may be a bit... lol!
 
I just told my wife to get ready we're going to the antique shops early today!!!!!! Wow, what a find!!!
