If any of you need or want a custom sheath for any of your Buck knives contact Makael on this forum. This is the fourth sheath he has made me and they are all awesome. The quality of the craftsmanship is second to none!!!

That's a great looking package, sass. Super work, Makael. Do you hand stitch or use a machine?

I have 2 of his sheaths and won't hesitate getting another, and another, and another! Great work! Knowing it's hand made in the US by a fellow forum member is the icing on the cake. Pretty soon he's going to have to quit his day job... lol

Thanks guys. I recently invested in a HD leather sewing machine. SAS and Mt pokt sheaths were machine sewn. I've probably destroyed as many sheaths as I have successfully completed. But it's getting easier faster than I thought. I am going to make a small run of 888 sheaths. please pm or email mikelooper@hotmail.com if you would like. I learning with every sheath I've made which is about 30 now. I have a friend who suggests a few models to make sheaths for. folders seem to be harder to find for the 100 series knives. those would be next.

I need to come up with a stamp. I've considered 509 Leatherworks.

Thanks again for the compliments.

"509 Leatherworks"... Too industrial.

How 'bout "Looper's Leathercraft"?

Maybe that will work. hmmm

Just found this thread tonight, and want to post photos of the new sheath Makael made for me. I knew I didn't want to carry my new Buck CSAR-T as a neck carry. So meeting Mike through this Forum, we did my order via email. All worked out great, and I really like my new, rugged-looking leather sheath. It fits my blade perfectly! I especially like the horizontal carry. I have no doubt future sheaths will happen. Thanks much, Mike!

That looks awesome.

Being left-handed, I can see myself ordering one or two custom sheaths for my fixed blade carry. Problem is, I can't decide which ones!

As a side-note, do you take orders from overseas (Europe), Makael?

I am unfamiliar with shipping and depends on if I have the model to build the sheath for. I've worked hard to have one of almost all of the current models from Buck.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I've been saving up for a Buck 105. If I get one I might get in touch. Although I've just bought a house, so it'll probably take some time!

Do you make sheaths for other brands too? The fixed blade I currently use the most is a Boker arbolito Hunter in stag. (forgive me if I'm not allowed to post this here.).

I can but would need to borrow for a perfect fit. I could try a cardboard cut out.
