Got these before Blade, but seeing some of Dan's new handle schemes, I thought it would be neat to post some of the first translucent handles he did that I was lucky enough to get my hands on. The first is a filet knife I ordered from Dan. Not many guys make a filet knife. Actually I had been looking for a decent one for a long time, and couldn't find a maker that was doing them on a regular basis. This one blows me away. I use it to carve BBQ too. It's great at that. As you can tell in the pics to follow, it gets a lot of use. The second is one of Dan's discontinued models, the trail hiker. It's my second trail hiker and it's stainless. My first is carbon. I intend to give this one to my son in a couple of years when he's old enough to not lose it in the woods. Anyway here's some pics I took tonight. Hope ya'll enjoy.
