About three weeks ago I sent my BME to Busse for sharpening after using it to clear out a deck in my back yard. I also asked that the tip be made sharper/pointier.
About a week ago, Mr. Busse called me to tell me that the blade was done and that he had put a military tip on it (I think that's what he called it), and that I should be happy with the tip. He spent about a half hour talking to me as well, which really impressed me all to hell; I assume he has a very busy schedule.
Today, the blade arrived. The edge is scary sharp. The tip is even sharper. Some of the teflon finish has been ground away on the top to reveal the INFI. Now this tip hurts to stick into my finger.
As Mr. Busse said, I should have no problem popping the balloon. To top it off, he did not charge me a penny for this service, even though I offered to pay.
In short, this service is absolutely first rate in every regard. It is a refreshing experience to say the least. My sincere thanks go to Mr. Busse for taking care of me every step of the way.
