Awt scales for bm griptilian

Recently picked up a knifeworks griptilian from a member here and love it, other than the scales. Don't really like the rounded like contoured handle and feel like it's a bit thick. Thinking about ordering awt scales, really like that they reduce the thickness of the scales, anybody with these scales care to comment?
 
Had a set of the smooth for a mini grip, black with deep red backspacer (sold it) & still have a set of honeycomb silver for the full size grip. They are really nice & AWT sometimes has some for sale at discount prices because of blems & such. Well worth the $ IMO. You can sometimes find them in the knife exchange, if you're lucky.
 
I have AWT scales on two Grips, 555 and 556. Those scales really dress up a Grip and it feels so much more substantial.
 
No, just feels different in a good way. It may feel a little heavier but not enough to make a difference.
