Be careful out there!

That sucks. Knowing the basics prevents accidents like that. When splitting or any ground work for that matter, the hands should remain parallel with the ax head. Also proper footwear is probably a good idea as well. Ax 101 basic stuff.

Also a good argument for the old longer handle rule of thumb. (At least for ground work)Hold the ax out front of you and let it slowly drop, poll first. If it hits the ground before your feet you are good to go. When splitting bending the knees keeping the hands parallel there is no way it would find your feet.

Kind of seems a guy handing out ax advise on video should at least know the basics and follow them.

Is this an April fools joke?

I just can't bear to watch the guy myself but I know he has a big following.

Maybe this episode his viewers will actually learn enough to make it worth watching?

On the positive side he didn't ruin a pair of those expensive boots he wears. Hope the guy recovers with permanent damage.

If this is true - hope he heals up quick.

I live a main road from Clackamas County and need to check on a property in Oregon City today so maybe I can make him a lasagna or something... you know, to help out?

The Clackamas Review doesn't seem to have that on it anywhere that I can find so I will guess April Fools.

jim, you may not believe me but mr. buckin there said to me that he's only ever hit his boot a few times. and scalped himself a few times with a 28 incher.

also if you were havin doubts this was a joke, the picture is from a few years ago and cody's in california right now

Some of that image I posted was in fact on the Clackamas Review this morning. :D

Bob

Quite believable/credible looking! -it really does look just like a screen shot of their unadulterated news feed lol.

That being such a small, super local news source for me, I did a double/triple take for sure. Also, I never thought about where Wranglerstar lived until then.

There is a Jeep parts place here with a manager/owner named Cody Crone I came across after a local search... Jeeps... Wranglers... nah...

Consistently good work Bob

I meant to write "Hope the guy recovers with OUT permanent damage"!

Bob needs a time out. :D

Hmmm,
Plenty of Axe'tards in Clackamas County, but I thought that Wrangler guy located in Georgia.
Btw, At least he has common decency to fly Swedish colors during his intro.

Lieblad, you read that is where I live, right?

There are "tards" of all sorts - everywhere.

Just be direct next time.
