I found this hiding away amongst my many treasures. It's a beautiful Jersey pattern with a nice thin gently curving haft with a wonderfully shaped fawn's foot.

It looks to be in perfect condition, as good as the day it was new. I wish I could try it out on some timber, but I can't pull it out of the stump! Actually, at five inches long overall, I might not be able to cut or split much firewood with it. FYI, the stump is 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

The mark on the bottom of this neat little carved sculpture is "BH 68". Does that ring any bells? Thanks for watching. T-A
