Axe found, Questions on what maker and weight?

A co-worker found a single bit axe in the wilderness,I now have it and plan a refurbish job on it. I cleaned up the head and on one side a letter C with what looks like an axe head or maul down the middle of the C, on the other side is the number 4 only. Sorry no picks!

Well I think I will reply to myself, I am sure I have found a Council tools #4 Dayton Axe.

Then you have a good axe and maybe a great axe if it's an old one or a new Velvicut.

not sure how old it is, the handle was rotten and broken, I just pulled what was left out, I know it came off of an Army vehicle of some kind, edge is dull but in perfect shape, I went on Council's website and I plan on buying a new handle and sheath after I clean her up some.
