Garage sale season is once again here, and with it random axe and tool acquisitions. I've become pickier, but so far I've come up with two things:

I believe this is a cross peen hammer?

The mark on top there is the only one and it appears to be a P above an S in a little shield. Any idea who that is? Seems fairly distinctive. Whoever made it's a rather nice little hammer, I will have to rehang it correctly at some point here.

This axe has only one marking that I can find, the P you see in that second picture.

Does the Michigan pattern have eye ridges ?
I'm thinking it could be a TT woodslasher.

I recognize the hammer marking with the PS inside a keystone

No eye ridges, smooth inside. I haven't finished getting rid of all the rust yet, but I took off most of it, naval jellied the inside, BLO'd the handle, and rehung it.

Keystone! Thank you, that's it I think. Pennsylvania System! Looks like it was for the railroad? Here's a lantern with the Logo on it

I think I recall Plumb using a P and other marks (a crescent, star, etc) on some of their axes, but don't quote me on that.
