Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum here, thanks in advance for the wealth of knowledge. I've been doing some reading on here, and I'm excited to move forward with my projects. Here's the quick back story:

My girlfriend recently found a handful of axe heads some guy was selling on Ebay. She knew I was looking for a couple and she surprised me with them. I cant lie, she always gets me the best gifts, and this was no different. She bought 5 axe heads (some a hole cut all the handles off) for an undisclosed amount, and they are phenomenal. I've tried to attach a few pics, but I'm guessing bc it's my first post, I cant?

One is a Collins axe, and one is a Sager Chemical, both appear decently old from what I can find out about them. They are all in great shape, and I'm looking to get handles for them. I would appreciate any suggestions for places to start choosing. I'm looking on my own of course, but I wanted to get some personal input.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

House Handle and Tennessee Hickory are two in-house-made mail order places to seek out handles. Eye dimensions pretty much limit thandle sizes and of course head weight influences handle length.

Much appreciated!

House Handle has better shaped handles. If you're starting out and just want a good handle on your axe they are the place to buy. But if you want to shape your own handle then Tennessee Hickory is a better choice. Their handles come way too fat and need slimming/shaping. But they are made of the very finest 2nd growth hickory sap wood. It's the best you can get without splitting your own hickory staves.
