  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Axe head identification?

Made by Mann, probably an early 90's Collins.
as far as the crack or whatever that is , I don't know what to make of it but I don't expect it to be a problem.

This isn't going to be an amazing head, but it shouldn't be terrible and it'll be good practice

Yeah it was in really bad shape had to be soaked in vinegar a couple times and took a wire wheel to it thats when I noticed the crack. It doesnt go all the way to the other side. Was just wondering if it was a safety issue dont want it to crack and then fling into whoever is using its eye or something. I have heard of someone putting bronze into these type of cracks or something like that is that a thing?

Looks like someone nicked it with hacksaw or something, if you are talking about that cut mark up by the bit? Not an issue.

Yes the little crack by the bit. Ok good to know its not an issue thanks.Still need help with identification.
