Axe Head Profiles ?

More questions on axes. Is there a wall chart, like the ones on patterns, or article on profiles. Uses , pros, cons ? I haven't found much. I have been able thanks to the leads you guys have suggested to be able to find out the patterns I have, a Montreal pattern, a couple of Yankee pattern hatchets, a swamping DB, and a couple of Canadian patterns. THX

There is way more information on what to use for what job than anyone could put down on paper. After 45 years of using them you'll have a pretty decent grasp of the basics. But a 5-year user will still know more about some specific details than you will. You have to accept that you will be learning forever - or that you are not learning. Your choice.

The two lightest rifles I have are a Sako 338WinchesterMagunum Finnbear and weighing a few more ounces, a Remington 700 30.06. The Sako doesn't hurt to shoot whereas with the Remington 40 years later I'm still trying to cure that flinch. I put the two rifles on the bed and studied the stock design to understand why.
