Over the last few years I've been on a quest to find as many old quality axes as i could find. I have found quite a few (hundreds) but I have an old wooden box that I keep around 25 heads in that i don't really want to re-handle for whatever reason, so I thought I would share them with liike minded people
I have plenty of handled axes and hatchets and Kaiser blades and so forth also but thought we might need a thread for old heads hanging around.
Here are mine

I have about a dozen or so nice ones sitting around as well in various states of refurb. Handled a couple and just lost interest.......

I can see why you keep them around.

I've always liked the looks of those flooring type hatchets, and that TT is a nice one.

That Pulaski looks a little different. Angle of the photo or is that hoe at a different angle?
as far as I know it's a normal Pulaski with the hoe blade perpendicular to the axe unless you're talking about the hammer/pick in upper left corner, I just threw it in there cause I keep it with my axes.

If anybody else has loose axe heads laying around that you can't bring yourself to get rid of feel free to post them.

if you do decide to get rid of that flint edge kentucky, i happen to know a user that has been jonesing a kentucky for a few years now

No pics but I have a Maine R45 Rixford that has 2 cracks I literally can't describe the position of. I could fix them (read my neighbor could fix them) but for some reason I don't want to.o_O

I do have a box of heads that I am in no rush to haft.
Most here are all deserving of a little file work of varying degrees.
Most here deserve good grain and shape in a handle, some require a vintage handle. One day I will carve my own to meet my need and desire...till then, the box is full and growing

Pics of the reason for my indecision and the weight. The dark stripe is the temper line.
