What I've noticed is that hatchets don't usually seem to use the typical axe head patterns. For example the typical plumb scout hatchet seems to be it's own head pattern, and today's typical hardware store hatchets also don't really seem to be an existing pattern. I know that there are some hb ,Dayton, and my Vaughan sub zero is a Michigan ( but the old Vaughan/craftsmans weren't )
So I guess what I'm asking is if these seemingly hatchet specific head styles have actually been defined, if there are any other axe patterns that are also uses in hatchets.
