Axe ID Again

Can any one identify please. Is it a Kelly. If so, rare here but may be common in USA. I sure like the pattern.

All I can tell you is the first part of "Temper." Its a True Temper Woodslasher. Kelly also had a Woodslasher axe too, perhaps their related. Not sure on the history behind that or whats what, someone will fill you in.

Hey, Frank. I've seen those True Temper Woodslashers before here in the US. From what I have seen, I would say that Woodslasher was the "economy" product line under the Kelly line while owned by the True Temper corporation. Certainly the axe is no older than 1946 when American Fork & Hoe completely changed the name over to True Temper. I would guess that the Woodslashers that are not Kelly's were made after True Temper sold the Kelly name to Barco in 1987.

I would like to know if anyone knows at what point after 1987 did True Temper move axe manufacturing out of the US??????
