This was one of my grandfather's. The handle has a logo and says "Fire Brand" Any ideas?

I've been wondering about the dates for that particular Council stamp. Does anyone know? I believe that it is pretty recent, but it would be great to know exactly when they started using it.

Well.....I almost forgot to update this........
The folks from Council said that your axe was most likely made in the 60's or 70's. That's all I got....no picnic invite.
Maybe next time.
I may email them again to see if they will elaborate a little bit about dates and stamping. I know that one of the factors that dated yours is that the "3 1/2" stamp became "3.5" in later years.
