Axe Identification

I don't have weight on this (it is a heavier axe). It is unused. It has Drop Forged stamped. I can't read the stamp below that. Any ideas on era and style, etc? Thank you.

Dayton pattern. The high centerline suggests US make, so that's good.

What's it say underneath 'Drop Forged'?
 
Seems that drop forging is kind of a vague term, but I think when it's used with tools it suggests a more mechanized, modern process and probably puts it on this side of 1950 someplace. Looks to be in good usable condition, I'd make with the hanging. Might give it a little vinegar time just to take a look at the bit and how deeply it was hardened. If that looks good, then proceed.

A clearer photo. The lettering underneath Drop Forged is illegible --- but I think first letter is a "T"
