Axe identification

Hello everyone!

This is my first post and I did make an account simply for identifying my great-grandfather's axe, as I have been searching the web for information to no avail.

I will post some pictures of the axe, with what I believe is the logo of the maker.

As far as I can tell, it spells "Gusstahl", which would be Crucible steel in German. I tried searching for the mark as well, but no luck.
