Axe identification

Thanks. Did not find postimage, must be an apple thing. Trying photo bucket.
Probably a common marking (but I'm new) on a cruiser style axe head but need help identifying.

Handle, what handle..

Also picked up this head..

They came from a junk store and i just picked them up for something to play with. Liked the cruiser size and noticed the us m10 stamp.

Looking at a 28" handle for the cruiser. Would a shorter handle be better?

Looks like Council Tools maker's mark
Does to me too.

Here is a CT mark (not mine) for comparison:

Sorry about jumping into the mix here with my own question, but the headline matches my request. My father passed away in Dec 2022, and I inherited his father's axe. I know it is a TrueTemper, Kelly Axe & Tool Works, Jersey style axe. What I'd like to know is how old it is. My grandfather passed away in 1944, so it pre-dates that. I think that Kelly Axe & Tool Works started using that name and stamp in 1930, but I can't be sure. Any definitive signs to age an axe like this?
Thank you in advance.

you should start a new topic. people are more likely to help if you ask your question in your own topic - as people may still be trying to respond to the original question(s) asked in this thread.
