  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hi I just got an Axe with JS stamped on Top of poll and 3 1/2 on bottom of poll. Anyone know anything about this.
I read somewhere about J.S.& S co. Making axe for U.S. Government during WW11.
Any info would be great

As far as I understand J.S. & S. Co. did not produce any hatchets. It was supplying medical pouches, hatchet sheaths.
I have found a pic of 3 1/2 lbs axe with JS on the poll. It does not look like US made product. It gives out Chinese vibe, but it is just a guess.

I would guess China as well, especially with the red epoxy in the eye of the example in the link.
It reminds me of a Deer brand axe.
