According to Wikipedia the "Nekaf jeep" was made from 1955 to 1962.

Don't you love era-embellished military gear! Are there hanger or mounting marks on the handle? There's lots of shoulder left on that handle should it need to be tightened-up or re-hung. The '1000' stamp is head weight in grams (2.2 lb) and ought to make a nice limbing or camp axe for you. Were these to have been exported to Canada in the 1950s and 60s they probably would have been referred to as Montreal pattern.

Thanks for your reply bob

It sadly enough isnt the original handle.
But if i were to put a new handle on it what size would you recommend?:)

I'm not Bob but something in the 24-28 inch range is standard fare for this size of head. What you've got already is probably plenty, especially if the shoulder was shortened to where it looks more normal. You've got a nicely finished quality steel 'Jerry' head from well after the war (1945-50 stuff was often crude due to shortage of skilled labour, good materials and proper machines) and it'll give good service beyond your own lifespan.

From a Dutch site about the Nekaf jeeps, an axe that's said to be
Nekaf M38a1 Jeep Bijl NOS
Hoort rechts achterin op de wielkastbak
Nieuw old stock

Perhaps it was the inspiration for the Cold Steel "Trail Boss"?
