Just curious to see if anybody recognizes this makers mark?

Hudson Bay/Montreal pattern axe with tree logo. No COO stamp.

Looks to be more of a European style than Montreal pattern or Hudson Bay. The tree stamp is a new one on me. 2 1/2 tends to be head weight in pounds (meaning it was destined for export or sale to Commonwealth or USA) but 2 1/2 is unusual compared to ubiquitous 1000 g 2 1/4 lb implements. Country of origin is rarely omitted on products from the last half of the 20th century so this one definitely is a puzzle.

Flat cheeks certainly increase the likelihood of European origins for this. Hopefully it's not new enough to have been Asian-made because they have more reason for not wishing to stamp country of origin.

Thinking it could be a forestry company logo?
