hey fellows! i was in town yesterday and went into one of the old pawn shops that i check into from time to time.
the fellow that owns the shop collects axes too, so he want sell any. i went in to talk with him and he showed me this book that he had just recieved yesterday.
its AXE MAKERS OF NORTH AMERICA by allen klenman. i looked thru it...man, what a nice book. i ordered a copy tonight:p
its a little expensive (30 bucks) but after looking thru it, i think its worth it. lots of good info.
this is the revised second edition with 50 new pages added.
its a little hard to find, but i did find a couple places on the net that sells it.
i highly recommend this to all you 'axe freaks'... i do believe that you'll enjoy it...

I believe that the large double bit on the cover now belongs to someone on this forum.
[Hint: his name ends with a number.]
Peter Vido keeps telling me I should get that book, and one day I will.

Yes, it is quite a read. A hardcopy edition signed by both Allan and Larry just sold on da bay a couple days ago.

$30.00 is pretty cheap for a good reference book, a copy of Bernard Levines 4 th edition (An old printing but the one he recommends as best) sells for at least $100.00 and sometimes into the hundreds. Take the dust cover off the book and store it safely and the book will go up in value ;-))

Regards

Robun
