Just when you thought you heard it all- anybody have a source for the exact handle in this picture from new movie? I've seen broken ones with the very pronounced swell on the end- never seen any new for sale. I have just the head for such a handle.
Who said axes aren't cool lol
Thanks

Cool for axe enthusiasts, but crappy job blending the handle into the head.

Hmmm. . .Wonder if in this movie, Lincoln will utter 'give me six hours to chop down vampires, I'll spend the first four sharpening my axe!'

I would love to find an axe like his.

I will be seeing this movie when it comes out. My friends at work talk about this movie every day.

Hopefully we will see a sequel, Elvis Demon Slayer. Just imagine all his songs he could make some of his kills based on.

If you are a history enthusiast, especially ones versed in Lincoln history, the book and this movie will surely be a treat. The movie is based on a book by an author who closely studies the history of a given person and inserts paranormal events to give the past a new twist. I read the book and the way the author injects vampire lore into the history of Abraham Lincoln makes one feel that the book tells the truthful story of the president's life. Being a Tim Burton movie within his specialty dark genre, I expect this to be a phenomenal film.

Ljcsov,
How is the axe described in the book? Looks like a jersey pattern in some of the stills and video released so far.

I think in the book it's more of a Dayton or Michigan pattern. Or at least that is what I imagine Abe having :). He carries an extensive vampire killing kit but his primary tool is the axe in the book. He tends to stun them with other devices and move in with the axe to behead them. As the movie trailer depicts, he almost trains to the skill level of a type of axe martial artist. The storyline kept my interest since it spans from the youth of Lincoln that I recalled from elementary school history all the way to an alternative motive behind the Civil War.

Well that's just great that they have him using a Jersey. Between this and "An Ax to Grind" I'm never going to find a nice Kelly perfect Jersey for a decent price.

I knew I'd see this movie mentioned here soon when I saw the trailer.
Speaking of the movie "trailer," here are two versions of it if not already seen.

Honest Abe was known as "The Railsplitter" in his early political years. I can't imagine we will ever see another president who worked for a living again. Looks like artists liked the way Abe looked with a jersey axe.
