Dont ask what posessed me. Dont ask what I was thinking. I totally dont know why, how or what I was thinking.
However I did it. I made a G-10 tomahawk.
And its clubby, weird, odd as a post, totally different, not really ugly but..... looking. However I think its such a unique item its worth sharing.
Also despite its looks, which grow on you, they really really do, its comfortable, fast, and well balanced.
And im-practical as it gets.

You are all to right.
It was about 8pm saturday night, nothing on TV, no one I know on MSN, ICQ, or AIM. Had already surfed BFC, TFL, FFF and all the other knife, gun, anything board I regularly hit.
So I grabbed a cheap hanging lamp, fixed it up above my work area (never wanted a light out there before, always figured I would never get inside from the shop if I had one) cut the piece of G-10 and set to work.

I was reallly reallly realllly bored!!

Wow. That's entirely bizarre. Don't show this to Fred Perrin because he would be making a kydex neck sheath for it in nothing flat!

Does it have a name yet? I'd call it the "SynthAxe". Or maybe "Sky-axe" since it's the only axe that you can carry through an airport metal detector. Very cool in a very disturbing way.

It hasnt been named yet.
I was calling it the non-met CQC axe for the time being.
I need to name it though.
Sky-axe is pretty good actually.
I need to think on names for awhile.

And actually I was thinking of making a non-metallic shoulder harness for it, and then getting a non-metallic kydex or concealex sheath made to fit that rig and the axe. no metal at all in the fasteners on any of it.

And yes I agree, cool in a disturbing way.

Wait till I cet the blade catch put into it!! I am going to work ont hat later. and then I'll update my pic of it.
