Do any of you display your axes on a stand, or rack of some sort? I want to make something that I can display one on my hawks in my office. Maybe shadow box.

What do you guys use?

I use flashlight mount clips to hold them in place- usually where they can't be seen lol. Not exactly a display, clips do work well at all angles even under tables and such. This is behind a nightstand.

I have a few of does for my streamlights, I'm going to have to try it out on my home defense hawks. :)

Go to a party supply store and get a realistic looking plastic skull and put the axe into it! I think it would be ok in your office. I have been thinking of a glass front display box for the hatchet with a hamon I am working on.

I have not come up with my sure fire plan on how to display mine. I was thinking of something similar to a gun rack, like what you would find when looking at guns in a gun store, but then you don't really get a good look at them each without having to pick them up and take them out. So am thinking of a wall display, and hang then vertically oppostie, as in from L to R, one axe hangs with axe head on top, then next axe head on bottom, and rinse and repeat L to R. I need a lot of room, and this seems to make the most sense, to me anyways.

I was thinking peg board, but not just that. I made a gunrack out of metal pegboard strips. By selecting the right hole then bending the hook, it allowed the guns to each sit level. I have some wood trim planned to hide most of the peg board.

But for a larger display of axes using heavy wood peg board you could display vertically, some will take a bottom hook to sit straight, some will hang right from one. All would have to be head up. You will have to plan a fabric cover to make it look good. An earth tone with other colors mixed in to hide stains. Would need to be a heavy and/or textured fabric to look good. then slit it with a razor blade to insert hooks.

A guy named "broadaxe" at vikingsword wrote about "axe display" for his extensive collection. He uses metal security fencing, painted white and attached to a wall. Here are some thumbnails from Google Images:
