Axe ribs...

So after forty five minutes of searching, I've given up. Does anyone remember that thread about axes with ribs in the eyes, a wee bit ago? I'd appreciate it if someone could direct me to it, I recently picked up a ribbed axe with a crazy thin profile, would like to try and figure out what it is.

Also interesting is the ribs pictures - the ribs were all directly across from one another, and 3 ribs per side. On the two single bits I have, the ribs are staggered from one side to the other, and only have 2 ribs per side. So there are say on the L side 2 ribs that would be inner, and on the R side, 2 ribs that would be on the outside of the L side, if that makes any sense. Not sure what that means, or who made it.

Sweet, ty Memphis. And I realize I am very far up a certain creek on this one Operator, but I think I can at least narrow it down a bit. Remnants of blue paint and a partial sticker gives me a good hint its Collins, I just didn't know if Collins ever made one with ribs. Norlund / Kelly / True Temper's are out in my mind, because I would imagine a partial stamp would be visible. I doubt its a blue grass either, never even seen one up here. So I'm guessing Collins or Vaughan, but Collins is most likely to me. I doubt Vaughan would make such a specialized axe, the profile thins right out to well under a 1/4'' within two inches of the eye. Never seen one like it.

Blue paint could be an old euro design, Collins, Warren, Keen Kutter, and on and on and on. I dont know if there is a way to find out.

True, I'm just going off what I know and what I've found in my area for axes. Shrug, doesn't matter either way, as long as the axe works. :)

Don't have a camera, but its not that special, I exaggerated. Its just like a true temper axe on certain illegal products, just with a larger poll, longer blade, and every so slightly thinner bit. Weird thing.
