I ran up a carrying box from some scraps to corral a bunch of tools and move them as a group. It's got a coat of Miniwax now, but I was wondering if I was setting myself up for corrosion problems if I left the axes et al. in there full time. The axes are held in place by wooden blocks that are tight enough to hold them in place without binding them. I rub some mineral oil on them after use, it SHOULD be okay, but I have been burned before by "should." If anyone has done this before and has regrets, I would love to hear about it before I have to spend hours swearing out corrosion spots with abrasives.

Is that a handle on a scythe blade?Kept some in a wood box for a year now and they werent bad at all, took them out a couple weeks ago and there was a couple spots only took a minute with a wire wheel on a bench grinder.Think where your at and the humidity is the biggest thing.Wd40 specialist gel lube worked real good keeping the rust off.

No, it's not a scythe. I got one of 42's Kingfishers on the first round, and it was fun. But I had wanted one of Ontario's Black Wind Khyber knives back when they came out, and I was a poor college student at the time. I decided that I was most of the way there with the Kingfisher, might as well go all in. Khyberfisher? KingKhyber?
