It's an interesting concept. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone buying a zai-core axe but Helko makes a line of axes with interchangeable heads http://www.helkonorthamerica.com/in...ath=77&zenid=5b3a013a2b4586b3007cdf62432e9918

I think a fair number of these Helkos are in circulation and people seem to like them.

Yep, I think Foxx hit the nail right on the head in the other thread. For those that can't change a handle. Talk about putting the cart in front of the horse.

Kinda cool, but I highly doubt that the handle will last longer than the axe head. Maybe I'm missing something?

Yeah, saw that before.
Cute engineering/design exercise, but ultimately silly.
What happens when you bash the wood of the handle to pieces? Oops, you want HOW MUCH for a replacement?
I'd rather store two axes than an axe and a head.
It's not clear to me what problem this is solving, which suggests..... it isn't.
