As already noted, the "US02" stamp is consistent with axes made by the former Woodings-Verona plant in Falls City, Nebraska, which is now owned by Ames True Temper (since 1997). The number 02 would presumably refer to the year of manufacture.
So it's a modern "True Temper" axe (made in the USA by Ames), and they retail (brand new) for about $25 at hardware stores.
