Axes of Crete in 2000BC look just like yours.

In W.L Goodman's book The History of Woodworking Tools, published in 1964, he sites examples of Minoan axes in museums, used for both religion and work, that look just like the single and double-bit axes of today, except they are cast bronze. He states that a stone mold for the axes has been found. He has drawings of the Crete axes, they are examples C and E in the drawing from his book below:

Axes with a hoe or adze blade opposite the main bit do not a Pulaski make, eh? It's its own pattern of which the hoe blade is only but one crucial component. The rest of the axe head must also be of modern North American design to qualify for that particular moniker. :thumbsup:
