Axis Bar Wiggle-Wobble?

I just got my very first Benchmade Griptilian and it's my first knife with the Axis lock. When the knife is open or closed and I put my fingers on the Axis bar, I can make the bar will wiggle/wobble somewhat. Is this normal?
It makes it so that I can't use just one finger to move the lock (like I've heard some people like to do) but need to grab both sides to keep the bar completely straight and exactly aligned in place.

My Ritter Grip has a slight wobble if I try and make it with my thumb and index finger at the same time but the blade doesn't move. I can flick it open using one finger. It takes a little finger pressure to overcome the Omega spring but you get used to it.

A little wiggle is normal, if not it wouldn't move much at all and be very hard to unlock.

If it's leaning more to one side than the other when pulling it back, you could have a broken or out of place omega spring on the side with more movement. Open it up and have a look. If the spring is just out of place it's an easy fix. There's a small hole drilled into the liner and the end of the spring fits in there...

I knew I had a picture of that somewhere.

If it's a broken spring, you'll have to send it back to Benchmade, they won't send out omega springs.

A little wiggle is normal for me on all my 940's. I always pull it back from both sides as you mentioned.
