Here are a couple of double ground knives with Axis handles I recently finished.
Both are ground from 5/32" thick 1095 carbon steel.

Thanks for looking.

Good looking pair David...I especially like the top one. Nice handle shape and I'm a sucker for a sleek and pointy, double-ground sticker! Both certainly look like no-nonsense users to me. Just curious, are the handles attached by the pins only, or is there some epoxy, drilled holes etc. under there also?

Thanks Mike. The tangs are drilled thru and hollowed like so...

The first knife is also tapered. Also, both are epoxied with Hysol industrial grade epoxy.
The Hysol is really strong, has good shock resistance and cleans up very nicely with a damp cloth.

I don't guess I've heard of Hysol epoxy before, but it sounds like it might be worth checking out. Something that cleans up with just a damp cloth sounds a bit less messy than spraying/wiping with oil over and over...

Dread glue up??? Nah man, that's the most exciting part of the build! There's nothing like having a panic attack while simultaneously gluing yourself to everything in the room and praying that you didn't forget anything :) Really though, thanks for the info! I'll look into it for sure

That's sig line material right there. Classic :)

Good looking knives, David. Clean grinds.
