Axis lock blade play

I received a new in box benchmade onslaught. It is my first benchmade and at first glance i really like the knife but their is a small issue. Actually a couple. First the smallest issue the blade is off center in the handle...which doesn't really bother me but it was a little bit of a disappointment. I mean, my 37 dollar spyderco resilience came with a perfectly centered blade and its chinese manufactured. It also locks up tighter than a tick on a bloodhound which brings me to the real problem and meaning to this post.

This knife has an axis lock which is like my manix xl with the cage ball lock...except instead of a ball it uses a cylinder ok simple enough and instead of a coil spring it uses omega springs...ok again i get it. But the difference is i can open my manix nice and easy and it locks up very tight...i mean zero movement. But unless i flick my onslaught open with some serious force it seems like it its not engaging entirely there is very slight blade play up and down and i was wondering if this is normal break in for and axis lock. Ive read the axis lock adjusts for wear and have heard they only really break in after 3 or 4 hundred openings if thats the case i will keep it and will play with it untill good and broken in. If any benchmade guys out their wanna give me some issue id appreciate it.
