Axis lock vs Arc Lock

Besides the CS Vaquero Grande, I also got a Benchmade 710BT. It's equipped with Axis Lock.
What is the difference between the Axis lock and SOG Pentagon Elite's Arc Lock. They seem pretty similar to me...
The button moves up and down on the Benchmade just as on the SOG.

They are similar more or less at the same grade as Sig-Sauer and Beretta 92 pistols. Pretty different internal construction but in both cases you have to pull slide back to chamber the round and to pull trigger back to fire it
