When does Benchmade's patent on the Axis lock expire. If it is soon then do you think Spyderco would ever incorporate it into there knives. I would love to see knives like the Military with an Axis lock.

Mike , Sal Glesser , the owner of Spyderco, is known thrueout the knife community as a REAL honest man. I don't think SAL needs or has a list with expire dates of patents. If such a knife will ever excist it will be because Spyderco and BM made a mutual agreement on the use of their lock. Spyderco has some great locks themself, with the new ball lock looking very promissing. It is entirely possible that a Spyderco knife will come out with that lock, but only because of a gentleman's agreement between these two highly regarded firms.
I would suggestyou go to the Spydercoforum, and ask Sal yourself, either Sal or Joyce visit the forum daily and will try to answer your question.

Maybe not, But it would be nice. I ahvent used the ball bering. Just compression and lackback. Both arent the best but work.

vinny, quit the new usernames.
compression is pretty much indestructable and nothing short of breaking the anvil pin out will break it.
theres a spyker, how about a bencherco?

hey you said ya didnt mind me coming back. Now ya complain. I thyink i could break a Compression Lock.
