Axis locking unevenly

Hi all,

Recently picked up a presidio 2. The axis bar travels farther up on the right side of the tang than the left. Not a crazy amount, but definitely noticeable. I have 2 other axis lock benchmades and this is the only one that does that. Also, it has some lock stick (again my only benchmade with lock stick), I assume the knife just needs to be worked in a bit for the lock stick but I'm kind of concerned about the uneven lock bar. Will this fix itself as the bar wears in? I looked this up but couldn't find any other posts about this problem btw.

It will probably work itself out as it breaks in. FWIW I think it's best if you leave a new Benchmade as it came from the factory for at least a week to let it break in before trying to lubricate, adjust, or fix it in any way.

Lock stick on an Axis lock almost always works itself out, in my experience. I wouldn't worry about the lock bar as long as I didn't feel any blade play.

I don't know if it actually helps but when I'm breaking in a new Axis lock I switch back and forth between hands (and work the lock a LOT). Hangups seem to dissappear after a couple days.

One of the springs being broken could cause the issue.
