Hi, just wondering if anybody in the know could chime in here and give us an idea of when Benchmade is gonna produce the mini afck with the axis lock? Thanks for the help!

I'm hoping for one too :) Hope they come out soon...I have a mini afck liner lock..one SWEET knife!!

Wow, a Mini AFCK satin finish with the clip set for tip up carry and switchable for left had carry would ROCK! :D

A D2 satin finished mini Afck tip-up carry now thats what I'm hoping for! Anybody know when or if they'll be produced? Thanks again!

It would be awesome if they offered it with VG-10 steel. The Mini-AFCK seems perfect for this steel.

Can someone give me an idea how nice an AFCK is?
I'm drooling for a Benchmade Axis lock based knife.

Hi calyth, I only have experience with the original large AFCK, but I'll tell you my impressions.

1) Rock-solid lockup(one of the best linerlocks I've had)
2) Blade lines and design nearly perfect for my uses
3) handle ergonomics excellent
4) Spyderco blade hole on old model was excellent, although I haven't
tried the new model "stretched" hole so I don't know how it is
5) I personally prefer tip-up carry so that was a problem with the
old model although the new axis models are tip-up
6) At first I thought the size of the large was perfect, however
lately I prefer smaller knives for EDC

Alot of my minor problems with the old large design should be corrected with a mini axis.(love those axis locks) Man, one in D2, that would be sweet! So yes, in my experience, they are very good quality and are very nice. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info.
Well i've been thinking of getting a benchmade (when i get the cash) but I have aversions against thumbholes. I've tried the spyderco thumbholes, and IMO i didn't like it as much. I prefer thumbstuds more and I never did have a problem with them.
So i'm thinking of getting the 710 instead of an AFCK axis. I don't mind trying one though ;)
