Don't squeeze or stretch the omega springs when you strip down an Axis mechanism. The springs can easily be over stressed and fail prematurely. One snapped on my 710. My fault, not BM's. I probably damaged the spring during one of several tear downs.
Bone stock Axis' shouldn't worry.
