I'm looking at picking up an Azrael from WDZ knives, and i'm not sure whether i want the standard size, or the XL

Is the 4.5" version to big or heavy for pocket carry?

With a legal blade length limit of 5.5" here in Texas, that wouldn't be a problem. :D

Normally, I like anywhere from 3.5-4", but I can't see something a bit larger being some huge carry issue.

Make sure you're able to handle that Azrael before you buy it.. 4.5 is pretty big.

filipinos are short for the most part but they can regularly carry a 14.5-cm balisong closed in their pockets (29cm open) --even if it's illegal. :D

Lol... this is why i love this forum... you folks is krazy :p

i currently carry a spec bump, so i'd be moving up nearly a whole inch in blade length. I don't honestly know why i'd NEED anything that size, but since i haven't ever seen a side by side of the standard and XL versions i don't wanna end up with something too small... i AM a Texan after all

if any of you nice people own either version and a kershaw, i'd love to see a pic for size reference :)

sure bigger blades are sometimes cool & fun, but mostly I prefer ~2.8 to just under 4" blade because of practicality

though I edc a vic tool w/ a much tinier blade, I consider it more of a tool than knife

after watching about 30 youtube videos comparing the Azrael to a bunch of other knives, i think the XL would be overkill.

The standard version is already bigger than an xm18 by a good bit, so i think it'll do the job nicely.

Get the XL. I regularly carry a 5.5" HD Maxx.

I happen to like large knives. They get the job done very well. It's fun to carry a pocket sword sometimes. =]

I think you'd like it for EDC.
Also the smaller version may be good too though.
