It all started innocently enough. I left her there, in my man-box (it's a large gun case that I keep all my knives in) And I happen to toss down my new anemone right next to her. Then left for a few hours...
I came back today to find:
That's right. Match made in heaven.
Here's what the back side looks like. I used some acorn nuts, and (this is the most important part if you decide to do this!) followed by a finish washer, and a tapered machine screw to fit the washer. The finish washer is what pulls it together because the inside of the washer is shaped so that it's shallower than the edge, meaning when you tighten it down, all the pressure is on the outside of the strap RATHER than in the middle. It acts like putting a grommet in the strap. Large tek lok fits well over the screws holding the anemone in place, and rides high on the belt. The straps are technically for a molle system, but if you cut as close as you can to them, then fray off the fraction of an inch you leave. You can leave the stitching intact on the back (still holds down the middle strap) without cutting the thread.
This is the thickness. The anemone is no joke, this thing alone holds like. Everything with it's arsenal of pockets, pouches, straps, elastic, tie downs... everything on your belt right there so you don't have to worry about getting in your real pockets when you have a pack on. Hit maxpedition up for the exact stats on it. Cause of how it is with the tek lok, I can flip it to scout carry and all the stuff in the pouch is zipped up. Nice and safe.
And Al's kydex? What can I say, I mean, it's MFN AZWELKE. It's perfect. It's even got a drain hole in it for water.
Here it is one last time. Just sittin there lookin pretty. Okay, so my camera on my phone sucks, but it would look pretty. Kydex and pouch in OD green.
