From what you've seen of the blade shape and handle angle, could a sheath be made so the blade slides straight in and out like on the 5.1? I keep wondering if because of how the blade swells, will the sheath be different.

I can build it for you Silver! I'll make a jig for that swell so the blade will slide right out.

We will be making open back sheaths and regular taco, pancake style as well. We use spacers, blockers and guards while molding, to prevent drag and scratches.
The GSO 5.1 is up on our site now for those interested.
