Hey folks,
just wanted to share the joy over my newest acqusition. As some of you might know, I'm not huge on traditional knives usually, but I just couldn't pass up on this beauty.

It comes in a nice little box

Open it up, remove the usual paperwork

A really nice little knife, with a well made leather sheath (sheaths are usually not Böker strongest point, sadly)
But this one is really nice, I guess they put a little more attention into it, being their more expensive made in Germany line

Handle is bubinga wood, with nickel silver handguard and what ever that thing at the end of the handle is called in english :)

And finally, a quick in-hand picture

As you can see, its not a very large knife. I have medium-sized hands, and the handle shouldn't be smaller. But that size makes it very EDC-able, and I think its going to be a great knife for that role. I guess the classic design and the rather friendly looks will make for a good EDC knife as well.

I'm really looking forward to how the patina will develop, seeing this is basically 1075 ( they call it C75).
Oh, and whoever sharpened this knife did a great, no fantastic job. The edge is even and razor sharp, I can't even feel it when it shaves my arm hair

Sorry for the rather crappy cell phone pics, I spend all my money on knives so no fancy camera :D

Overall length is 18,7cm, blade length 8,6cm. Weighs only 96g
If you want to grab one of those, it looks like their going out-of-production, which is why I got it cheaper, but I don't know for how long those are going to be available.

So, what do you think ?

Very nice c-becker . hopefully it will make you look at more traditionals

I've found the Boker knives made in Germany are of very high quality. Looks like it would make a great hunting companion as well. Congrats.

I've been real happy with the Bokers I've owned. Looks like you got a nice one! I've always called that cap on the handle end a pommel.

Nice drop point design and just the right size to make a perfect hunter's skinning knife. OH
