When I saw this knife and read the tekst I simply couldn't resist and started the hunt.... Only very few were left. I managed to order one in Germany. The knife was designed by W.M.C. Bill Johnson, member of the American Knifemakers Guild. This baby has a thumbstud, is full tang, is made of 440-C steel, has a blade of 7 1/4" long and 0.26 inch thick! The tang is tapered. The knife weighs a hefty 18 ounces. I simply love the spearpoint recurved blade. I am curious how this knife will compare with my Barkies.... Can't wait till the mailman arrives....

"Magnum Collection 2009, for the serious collector. An extraordinary knife concept with an impressive and elegant design of the Recurve blade. The handle is made of burgundy micarta and provides a comfortable and secure grip.

This annual Magnum Collection 2009 knife is a perfect symbiosis. It is a superb outdoor knife and at the same time it’s also highly collectable for knife enthusiasts. The premium leather sheath is made to the same exacting standards. The knife is strictly limited to only 1,999 pieces worldwide and are individually serialized"

Interesting knife. I've two Boker Magnum knives; the puukko and the sleekster folder. Both good knives; needed to have the bevel reground. Also both were made in China.

They make a puukko? Pics please, I want to see that.

It's not a true puukko; it's hollow ground and the handle is not shaped like a puukko. The sheath is western style with a snap keeper strap around the handle. If you like true Finnish puukko, this is not for you. Sorry I don't have a picture of it. There have been several on ebay.
