One of my latest acquisitions is the Böker Titan Defender Lightweight.
When I discovered the Titan series of folders in the Böker factory shop, they immediately impressed me.
The construction of these folders (designed by Austrian knifemaker Armin Stütz) is immensely sturdy, look at the 2.5mm thick titanium liners (and lock):
The blade is 8.6 cm long, or 3.5 inches which is a practical size, between the typical EDC 3" and the already cumbersome 4" of bigger folders.
The stonewash finish of the blade goes well with the canvas micarta handles and general modern utility look. Blade material is N690, which is often compared to VG10; hence a good performer.
the one blemish about mine is the lock which can be difficult to disengage. Otherwise I like it a lot, it is totally dependable and because of the copious amounts of titanium, still not overly heavy. By the way, it's called Lightweight, but at 150 grams it is only lightweight compared to the original Titan Defender which had titanium bolsters as well.
As usual, the quality/price suffers somewhat because of the euro/dollar ratio but even so it is very convincing. If you look around the webstores, I have also seen it on sale for around $220, which it is definitely worth.
I recommend you to check out this knife.
To close, the knife is the subject of my latest review video, for a good look at various details, and some comparisons, you may want to check this clip out as well:
