Does anyone here own one? I' ve been drooling over them ever since I got the ''Messer aus aller Welt'' catalog, especially the damascus version.
So, if anyone here has one, any version, what do you think about it, and how does that steel perform (X.15-TN), I think Benchmade used it at some point if I' m not mistaken?

I've had one for years. NIB never used much. It flips open easy. The blade steel is supposed to be as resistant to rust as the H1 steel I understand if its the one I'm thinking of. Is tip up carry and the clip is nice. Its got a nice wood checkered grip for the thumb to aid getting it out of the pocket well and the lock is thicker than I expected. It also came in a surprisingly nice little display box.

Not sure if they all do or if I got one numbered or something. It does have a number one it. Mine was bought in Germany though so it may not be the same as those sold here. I don't really know on that. They had a great catalog over there. I have that too. All German but great pics. This was of course before they changed the laws over there. Now that knife store no longer exists. Its a shame because it was a really really nice one.

Yep, thats what I have. Here are some shots of it. Its number 058 and a First Production Run model. I forgot that it came with a nice little pivot wrench for break down for cleaning and its the good thing because you'd never get the barrel out without it. Its a rarther high quality little folder. Super easy opener for sure. I'd forgotten how easy until I just got it out. Clip is a nicer factory low rider curved to fit and not generic looking like others I've seen in other productions. Finish is good. Contact for the lock is more than adequate. The blade did not come as sharp as I like mine and the bevel angle was not what I wanted for slicing ease so I changed that. Forgot I did that also. It took a great edge though.

Here are some other details just noted. Mine weighs in on my USPS digital scale at 3.1 ounces. Its got a 3" blade and a 4" closed length. Another indication of a higher quality folder is this. This one of mine has a ceramic detent ball in the lock. Looks to be over 2mm in diameter also so its a bigger one than I usually see, especially in knives of this medium size range. Thumb stud is ambidextrous and custom looking and the stand offs for the folder in the rear to space the scales properly are decorative custom level design not the cheapy looking ones you'd expect in a production folder. When I saw it the folder had this 'stand out' character to it. But it should; as it wasn't cheap either believe me. I've used the edge on just a few things. I have not used it a bunch. Like I said its still basically new and thats not a scratch on the folder body in that one scan. It is my scanner flat bed glass. The edge has not needed re-sharpening. I've only done bag opening, and some food prep in the kitchen with it though. By the way, thanks for reminding me of this one. One of the problems with having so many darn knives is you forget what all you have lurking in the bottom of your collection boxes in the safe at times. Glad it was in the first one I pulled out today. I think I'll carry it some and reacquaint myself with it now that I went to the effort to get it out.

Thanks for the observations STR, I really hope I get the chance to buy one soon:cool:

No problem. The design has changed some since I got mine. You can see it in the handle and I noticed the new ones were tip down carry now but still a low rider type clip. Seems they play with subtle changes at Boker from one model year to the next.

My favorite Boker is the Kalashnikov AK tactical folder. Its a bit big but I like the blade.
